Held on Wednesday, August 14th, this was a spotlight on The Rhapsody Project, an arts nonprofit who is currently undergoing a regenerative accounting transformation. Facilitated by Mathew Heggem, founder of 10kCreators.com, this dialogue explores the steps Rhapsody has taken towards creating greater equity within the organization’s money systems.
Guests include Rhapsody team members Joe Seamons, Jed Crisologo, and Briar, as well as a special guest, finance & money coach, Candis Fox.
Meet our Guests:
Jed Crisologo is a Seattle based singer- songwriter, who mixes Americana, Punk Rock and Soul influences into heartfelt, catchy, honest tunes. When he’s not performing around the Pacific Northwest, he serves as the youth programs director for The Rhapsody Project.
Briar is a singer of vintage jazz, blues and original music. By blending a powerful voice with stories about the history and origins of her music, she shines a light on singers and tales that have been forgotten by the country that created them. Raised in the small community of Chimacum, Washington, Briar uses her music to help explore her unique background as a black woman from the rural Pacific Northwest.
Joe Seamons is a musician and educator based in the Pacific Northwest and dedicated to helping people connect with their heritage through music and storytelling. As a leader of the Rhapsody Project, he works with people of all ages to explore the influence of regional and personal history through the lens of American blues and folk songs. When he is not frailing the banjo or accompanying his jazz-singing wife Briar on guitar, he is working as a partner to establish cultural space at Black & Tan Hall.
Candis Fox (any pronoun) has combined their 10+ years in cognitive & behavioral science, Master’s in Education and lifelong study of myth & human patterning to provide leaders and families deepen their relational intelligence. Candis provides regenerative, effective strategies & practices for matching internal and external success through the art of relating.
