AAN’s 3 primary strategies:
- Education and Story-telling
- Members and industry thought leaders share stories of regenerative accounting practices and paradigms.
- Members engage in education to question and invite positive change to current financial paradigms and cultural norms.
- Members build skills in making change. This looks like:
- Lyceums
- Member-led educational workshops and classes
- Pachamama Alliance and other partner educational content
- Community-building
- Members build connection and support with each other.
- Members self-organize and lead discussions around topics that they are interested in.
- Members develop as community leaders. This looks like:
- Social forums
- Member-led focus groups
- Social content and newsletter
- Stewardship of Change
- Members apply and teach regenerative accounting concepts at industry events/webinars/podcasts.
- Members take action in their spheres of influence. This can be applied in:
- Their practices
- With clients
- In teams
- Local and personal communities
Where to begin your journey as an AAN member?
Now that you have a better understanding of what the AAN is, what it stands for and how we hope to transform the industry, let’s talk about the steps you can take to get involved:
- If you haven’t done so already, sign up for the AAN newsletter and view past newsletters here.
- Watch the Welcome Video with co-founders Ingrid Edstrom & Mathew Heggem.
- Read the Communication Framework and let us know if you have questions.
- Review the Glossary of Terms to gain a better understanding of the language we’re cultivating.
- Join (and participate in) the Facebook and/or LinkedIn groups as much as you can. A comment invites conversation, so please aim to do more than just like the post. NOTE: Links to the Facebook & LinkedIn groups are provide after signing up for the newsletter.
- Introduce yourself to the community on one of the social groups. Share your name, your company, and why you joined the AAN. No self promotion, please.
- Watch our past “Lyceums” on YouTube to gain familiarity with what we’ve discussed to date. We’ve had some brilliant Lyceums, hosted several Social Forums, and spotlighted several incredible practitioners since founding the AAN.
